The Lakers enter this matchup 0-6 on the hunt for their first win. This past week they had their bye week so they've had two weeks to prepare for the Rebels.

The Rebels enter this one 5-1 with a huge win on the road at St. X. Seneca Driver and Gavin Johnson both had monster games for the Rebels.

Can David slay Goliath??

Not this David.

Boyle has a stretch of three games in a row where the JV and Freshmen will see more action than the varsity. The good part of this is that they should be able to heal any injuries, bumps and bruises for their stretch run in November/ December. The Rebels are starting to put it all together at the right time as we saw in the game at St. X on Friday. Nobody is looking forward to playing them from here on to the finals.

Boyle Co. 56-0.

Boyle names the score, and this will be over in the first half.

Boyle County lost a big alumni / supporter early this morning. Donnie Coffman class of 1969 was one of the defensive lineman to ever play for the Rebels. Donnie's parents had a grocery store in Junction City and Coach Bear Bryant called and talked to Donnie's father and asked if their son would be interested in coming down for a visit. His father told Bear Bryant that his son will be working in the grocery store after graduation and hung up on him. Donnie verified this story to me Sunday night on a visit. He was the team photographer form many many years until his health declined. One of his closest friends was Coach Larry French and this Friday Larry's son brings his team to Rebel Stadium to play the Rebels. This is such a huge loss for the Rebel Nation as we lost one of our very own!

Donnie and Archie were Junction City. I saw film of Donnie against Danville I think. He was a beast on the line. RIP to one of Boyle's Best
