Savage with tackle on 3rd down.

Indiana begins national title defense with a 52-16 win over North Texas. Jacob Savage from Ryle with 3 solo tackles. That's a nice accomplishment for a true frosh.

I didn't realize he got on the field.

The game was only about a two touchdown spread at one point in the 2nd half.

His first solo was on a 4 and 1 on NT's first series. Second solo on kickoff coverage. Third solo in the final 5+ minutes, where he played all defensive downs. The staff obviously likes him and I'm guessing he will start next season as a true sophomore.

Oregon with a possible game changing score just before the half.

Boise 17-14 Oregon

Halftime.

Boise will be competing for an at-large bid this year.

Ducks tied it up.

Hope Clemson gives LSU a butt kicking.

So far I am very impressed with Boise. It is clear they don't have the talent the Ducks have, but they are playing right with them.

27-24 Ducks with 1439 to play.
