O looks to be without Ashley at LB, Green at SS/RB, Hinton at CB and G'way at QB. That said I think the defense will be ready to go. Should be a good game to let Biggs develop a flow with the WRs. Owensboro will need it with Catholic and Apollo in the coming weeks. I expect a 35-0 game here.

What happened with Ashley? I didn't get to catch all the game Friday night.

@JCrowe86 he's had a hurt shoulder all year I think back to the scrimmages- I'm going on 2nd hand information that he will rest a game or 2 to heal up. The one good part of the defense the other night was run defense which did a great job stuffing most runs. #30 played alot of series in pjs e off Ashley against CAL. He's solid and quick.

Honest question. I haven't heard much from the DC threads this year, but could this game be a little lower scoring than some expect?

I understand Owensboro is dealing with a significant number of injuries, especially with key players like Ashley, Green, Hinton, and, of course, G'way unavailable. With that in mind, I'm interested to see what Owensboro's approach is in this one. Is this a game where the Red Devils really emphasize controlling the line of scrimmage and establishing the run game?

DC is clearly in one of those rebuilding years, but Coach Q Wallace has never been afraid to get creative. Defensively, he'll bring pressure from different places, and offensively, he's willing to take some risks. We saw that against Apollo last season when Apollo entered as the clear favorite and DC found a way to pull off the upset.

So what's the strategy for Daviess County? How aggressive do they get knowing they're a significant underdog? Do they load the box, bring pressure, take chances, and try to create a couple of turnovers or explosive plays that can keep this interesting?

Owensboro is clearly the favorite, and I agree with the running-clock predictions. I'm just interested to see how the Red Devils use this game while dealing with so many injuries. Do they simplify things, lean heavily on the run, and try to dominate up front, or use the opportunity to develop some of the younger guys who are being asked to step into bigger roles?

Biggs will be able to get the ball to his play makers in this one. Huge change of pace for the sophomore. With all the injuries the Devils have. They still have plenty of playmakers who can take it to the house at anytime.
