Just out from FCPS:

Heat-Related Restrictions on Outdoor Activities

Today, Sept. 1, Fayette County Public Schools is restricting afternoon and evening outdoor activities because of forecasted extreme heat. All after-school elementary and middle school outdoor activities are canceled. Outdoor high school activities are permitted after 7 p.m.

On Wednesday, Sept. 2, all outdoor activities are canceled.

With this statewide heat wave, and the way KHSAA Heat index rules work, for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week, all football schools in Kentucky will have the following options- practice before school, practice in the gym, practice after 8 pm. No school will be able to have after school outdoor practices. In Louisville they have already canceled or pushed back to after 8 pm, golf tournaments, cross country meets and soccer games. Cross Country teams are running before school. The heat this week impacts all high schools in multiple sports.

Yep and the heat index currently in Lexington is just 96 the real temp is 95 to be under a heat advisory it has to feel like 105 or higher and it is not even a 100 degree heat index in Louisville.

Not messing with our practice, we practice and/ or lift in mornings anyways.

The two previous meetings were decided by a touchdown. I expect nothing less than another close contest again this week.

I liked what I saw from Manual on the road last week at South Warren. Great defense, loads of experience at quarterback, one of the state's great uknown running backs, and an all-senior offensive line.

I think that's a recipe for a Manual win by a touchdown or less.

FCPS has now also cancelled all outdoor activities tomorrow as well.

That post was 20 hours ago so I think it means today, and has nothing to do with the game tomorrow.

Anyone?
