I don't disagree that Douglas is very good. It's the trying to pretend being down 2 QB's is a joke that's ridiculous. Also X's team hasn't gone to the Moonlight buffet for a pregame meal since Owensboro. X has a real tough stretch coming up and may get rough up. But again it's a long way to December.

Being down two QBs is a losing recipe at any level of football.

JCPS also messing with Manual practice. FCPS and JCPS two peas in the same pod.

  • Parents, it doesn't matter if it is FCPS or JCPS, get your kids and run!!

Based on this game result I have St. X #3 but not counting healthy Manual out. They are in same district so will be settled on the field.

Right, and X may in fact be #2, I think it is very close at the top (not Trinity) when everyone is both healthy and giving their best effort.

I still remember St. X beating Frederick Douglass 7-0 in scrimmage but Dakari Talbert only played a few snaps so missing a key player can make a difference especially on offense.

Correct. 7-0. Not 27-7. Our defense kept us in the game. Why didn't theirs do the same? You guys have had great offensive outputs since the scrimmage, aside from OB. Were your offensive stars hurt too in the scrimmage?

Or maybe the other teams defenses weren't as stout as ours. Manual was considered a top team offensively AND defensively in 6A before beating SW, so shouldn't their defense been better at containing us?

Ok, so forfeit the game then, since they were out before the game started. Or do we play the game and see if the other offensive players can compensate for the missing guys.

Manual defense has dominated FD up front the previous two matchups and that certainly wasn't the case last night. Douglass coaching staff put together a great game plan offensively and their guys executed so hats off to them. FD was more physical on both sides of the ball the majority of the game.

I gave credit for the Frederick Douglass great performance against very good Manual defense. I guess you missed that.

For those wondering, Dakari Talbert played only about 4 snaps due to dehydration. 3 of those he got the carry, and ran for 30+ or more yards.

You seemed to feel differently when your guy was out. Seems a bit inconsistent. Or was your post just a public service message?
