If you are going to sit Armstrong for protection purposes, you have Cale Harris and Mr. Lorenzen. That would be a little ridiculous in a running clock situation.

Last week the Birds got to a running clock in the 2nd Quarter and Armstrong stayed in the rest of the game getting his snaps in and at some times ran the ball, which I think @theguru stated, "what are you all doing having him run the ball in a running clock game'

With Boyle County coming to town in a very highly anticipated 4A showdown next week, again "if' we get to a running clock situation, with Boyle on deck, do you shut Armstrong down and thank him for his service on Friday once we get to a running clock, OR b/c he's just a Sophomore do you opt to keep building up his snaps, ignore the score and get as many live competition plays under his belt to have that game time feel for when Boyle comes up next week.

Again, totally hypothetical if this scenario occurs with a running clock, which I am saying may or may not happen but if it does, What would you do?

I would say get him out of there. I would imagine his old teammates won't be thrilled to see him.

As a fan, I wish our agreement of games with Lex Cath was more then the (was it) 2 years?

If we are losing both Cooper and Campbell County, wonder who we are calling up to get something on the books to play.

Another team that would be fun just bc I really enjoyed the road trip and stadium was Corbin. I realize they are another 4A foe but that was a cool place to play a few years back.

Just to name 2 teams out there, I'm sure there's more that would be pretty cool.

Highlands has to play competitive games. Cooper is way down and probably will stay down for awhile. Campbell County isn't a football school and if they were located anywhere other than Campbell County, they wouldn't even think of playing the Birds.

Not totally familiar with this rivalry (maybe Camels view) that Highlands sees as a non-threatening tuneup. But the really old Camels still talk about 1963- CAMELS 7....BIRDS 6.
