Momcilovic going to get $7 million + according to reports. UL making UK pay, might even grab him away from UK.

I hope UK strikes fast in the portal and gets commitments locked down quickly. I don't want to be looking up in 5 weeks and wondering who's on the team.

Who in their right mind would give this guy 7 million dollars?  He's not going to take you to the top of the heap anyway.

St. John's and Arizona were also in the mix to throw big bucks at him. Then St. John's gave over $6 million to another player who pulled out of the draft and that took them out on Momcilovic. So who in their right mind would give this guy 7M? UK, UL, Arizona, St. John's all were after him.

I understand the bidding war, and he can make UL or St. Johns a really super team.  Will he make UK a super good team, no, so why make a fool out of yourself again this year.  Hey look at us, we have tons of money, but don't know how to spend it.

I definitely do not see UK looking like a fool if they sign Momcilovic. Actually, probably the other way around. If they miss on Momcilovic Pope takes a much bigger hit PR wise than if they sign him.

let's face it, kids don't want to play for Pope, so you're telling to spend 7 million dollars to save face and win maybe a couple more games.  If this 7 million was coming out of your personal account would you still say spend it?

What's the alternative? Give up on the season? Who else is left to sign? If UK signs this guy, they have a better chance to compete.

Quite honestly, if it's my money, I'll just give up the season.  They're not going anyplace with or without him.

Is Momcilovic playing hard ball, or does he just like the drama?

I saw a post that UK signed a 6'11" 253 pound center today who was granted a 7th year of eligibility. Played for Washington last year? Don't know details but I like adding bulk and size to this roster.

Ha. Looks like that is old news. Sorry about that. Somehow missed it when it was first announced. Maybe they just got the official news that he was awarded another year of eligibility?

Seems like he is playing it perfectly.

I sure hope he's not a bust where ever he ends up at.

Well we certainly hope he isn't a bust now!
