This game may get ugly.....

Iowa State already with two made threes in the first three minutes of second half, after hitting just three in the entire first half. 

Kentucky has committed five fouls in the first 3:37 of the half, including three fouls in about 10 seconds.

Iowa State leads 41-36 at under 16 timeout.  Matches Iowa State's largest lead of the day.  Oweh, Chandler, and Aberdeen all have three fouls.  

Moreno misses two free throws and then goaltends on other end.  He has had a tournament to forget.

Aberdeen has his fourth foul.  Kentucky commits another goaltending - a terrible one that wasn't even going to get above the rim.  Kentucky challenges it, and they're probably going to lose a timeout over it.  Currently it's 45-38 (assuming the basket remains), and Iowa State going to the line looking to go up 8.  

IMO, this game is over. 

Kentucky was up 20-9 when Pope did his “get everyone a chance to play.” Most notably, Jasper Johnson turned it over, missed a bad three, gave up a score on defense. Since then Iowa State has outscored UK 34-18. The entire season story can be written around terrible, terrible substitution patterns. 

One of the dumbest teams in basketball history. No basketball IQ for anyone. 

Oweh only about two missed layups away from the all-time NCAA record, right?

Kentucky just plain stinks.

This and bad defense. Two years of Pope isn’t inspiring much hope. On the flip side I absolutely love how Iowa State plays. They play an exciting brand of basketball on both sides of the ball.

They’re not that good and really shouldn’t be playing today. But, all credit to ISU for the defensive havoc they’re causing.

Kentucky got the fast start they needed and then all the usual problems arose.  

Iowa State is on a 33-11 run currently.  

Pope probably has one more year to figure it out. Make it count.
