Kentucky with more free throws, and Santa Clara gets an offensive rebound off an air ball, and drain a three to halve the lead.  85-82, Kentucky, with 18 seconds left.

Wow.

Happy for Pope and Oweh.

Me too, now let's get one more win and this is a successful season.

I have been critical of Brandon Garrison all season, but Kentucky gets beat by 10 if it isn't for him today. He still made a few plays that made me scratch my head, but man, he ways huge in some really important times today in the game! If only he could make some free throws. Moreno is going to be good, but Kentucky has to ride with Garrison and Diaboute Sunday. They give them so much more athleticism compared to the two starting bigs!

Eh I wouldn’t go that far. In no world no matter how this season has played out, is simply making the sweet 16 a successful season. It would at least gives us a few fun moments to end the year, after having to watch a very boring and frustrating team all season.

This team has not been a fun team to watch, Pope probably the guy for the job still. With that said, I will never complain about the Cats winning. What a shot by Oweh! Also what a game by Garrison.

Sometimes teams make deep tournament runs after surviving with a dramatic win in round one. Let’s hope that hapens for our Cats!

I hear what you are saying but a Sweet 16 with this team is a success from my standpoint.

What about an Elite 8?

I would say yes to that then. As that would mean this team advanced further than they did last year. Which then shows progress in regards to tournament success at least.

Which one of Iowa States better players just had to get helped off the court, and looked to be in a lot of pain. Which you never like someone getting hurt, but definitely helps UK if he is out.
