How can CovCath be so Dominant?

I think you're wrong on this one.

You are probably right as CovCath is certainly a prohibitive favorite.  Just never liked to see bragging about the results before the game is played.  Some opponent just might throw that no-hitter.

Once again the initial post was CovCath dominates and destroys every NKY team every year. If that was true, there is zero reason why CovCath hasn't even made the 9th region finals the last 3 years. Th

If the three Newport kids hadn't transferred out, this could've been another year Covcath doesn't make it out of the 9th....?

If anyone else would like to share an opinion it is now or never, we are about to close this thread out.

I interviewed w/ Bob Rowe (Principal) & Tony Bacigalupo (AD) a few years back. Was very impressed with both them. Exceptional leaders.  One of the best interview experiences, ever.

That type of vision for a school & athletic program finds it way on to the court, field & classroom.

Which has to do with what, in regards to your initial post? You claimed that CovCath is pretty much dominant over NKY almost every year. Which they haven't even been to the 9th region finals in the last 3 years, so that is definitely not being dominant and destroying teams. Also the state title you are talking about was 8 years ago. Which even in their two state title years, they have lost to a NKY team and also had a few close games. Which this year they truly are dominate, because there is no other team that has the talent to match up or even keep it close.

Have they had the most overall success in NKY? Absolutely! I don't think anyone would argue that, but that is not how you started out this thread. You said they basically dominate NKY teams and destroy them every year. Which besides for this year, that has not been the case. As the current seniors haven't even been to a 9th region finals yet.

So what you're saying is the barometer for CCH is winning the 9th region or at least making the final? I mean if they are constantly the top 2-3 team in the region I personally consider that dominant. Yes has there been a few teams or two that's have been a thorn in their side, well clearly. But I'd say that's still pretty dominant and a crazy high expectation.

Once again the original post said basically every year they dominate all of nky. Didn’t say most of, said all of. Then not only that said they destroy everyone too. So yes I would say, you would think a team that dominates and destroys everyone in nky would be winning that nky region then most years. Much less not even making the finals three years in a row.

No one disagrees that they are the most consistent top team year after year. How the first post was written is the only reason it has got the responses it has.
