Lucky Charms
I couldn't find a link or anything on the web on this topic just yet. Theo Davis and Josh Hightfeldt (sp?) were the players involved. Both claim that they had no idea that the drugs were in the car.

NEERFAN
Hopefully both are taught a lesson during this process, Heytfelt is a phenomenal athlete with a huge upside, dumb decision for an impact player to make. The other guy is a RS.
HHSDad
CHENEY, Wash. -- Gonzaga basketball players Josh Heytvelt and Theo Davis were arrested Friday night after police found marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in their car during a traffic stop, an officer said. Heytvelt, a starting forward and one of the team's top scorers, and Davis, an injured freshman, were booked into Spokane County Jail for investigation of drug possession. The amount of marijuana was only enough for a misdemeanor, but possession of mushrooms is a felony, Cheney Police Cmdr. Rick Campbell on Saturday. http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/local/6420AP_BKC_Gonzaga_Arrests.html
UKMustangFan
Why do I have a feeling Heyfeldt will only be suspended for a couple games, while the other guy will be shown the door??
Original Rookie
Why do I have a feeling Heyfeldt will only be suspended for a couple games, while the other guy will be shown the door?? It will be interesting to see what happens. Few certainly has had a clean program for the most part.

Lucky Charms
How can Marijuanna be a misdemeanor and Mushrooms a felony? It may have something to do with the amount that they had on them at the time. I know if you carry enough marijuana it can be a felony too. gchs_uk9
By the way, when was the last time you heard about psychedelic mushrooms? I thought it was San Francisco-1967 when I read that on the screen tonight!
PutMeInCoach
I'll never understand what goes threw a college or pro athletes head. How can you ruin your future like this.
gchs_uk9
I'll never understand what goes threw a college or pro athletes head. How can you ruin your future like this. I'm guessing mushrooms and pot were in their heads! Certainly seems like a commom-sense deterent! Honestly, I know what you mean. It seems like so many kids have a lifetime of potential and throw it all away. But that's not just ballplayers. I teach school and have seen some of my best get lost along the route. Sad. It's horrible. I'd give anything to be in thier shoes, minus the drugs.
