In the late 90’s , our district was Newport, Lloyd, Mason Co. , Fleming Co. , Lewis Co., Russell & Lawrence Co.  Almost 3 hours from one end to the next.

I remember those days.... That was a fun district alignment with a lot of good football being played between those schools. Brings back memories.

This upcoming realignment has been a little kinder to you, with everyone being 30-40 minutes away. Then again, maybe "kinder" isn't the appropriate word when the schools in question are all pretty good at football.

You are correct. It is a tough district! But, I go back to 1997. They added Lawrence to our district with Russell, Lloyd & Newport. We had NEVER beat the Red Devils, Juggs or Wildcats. But, we got all 3 that season.  You just keep working and grinding. Eventually, you are going to bust through!
