Final. A good hard fought win for the Cats defense kept them in it in the first half and the offense looked a lot better in the 2nd half with big minutes and play from Williams, Lowe and Quaintence those 3 combined for 34 points.

 

 

Great win today! Also big props to Coach Pope. Obviously getting guys back helps. However, this team was not playing hard, not fighting, not working together. He clearly has done a good job of picking up the intensity and seems to have gotten through to them. These last two games, the effort and fight has been great. Which in turn has made the defense be really good. With the effort they are playing with now, if they keep that up and continue to get healthy. This team can do something. 

Quaintance is a huge difference maker for this team.

Agreed on both sides of the ball, he is a huge difference! Hopefully Lowe can make it through this year, as he also helps the offense. As he is one of the only guys who can create for others and also get in the lane consistently. Since Pope didn’t bring in another true PG, this offense will be a struggle if Lowe can consistently go all year. 

Two straight wins I didn't expect.  Didn't watch either game, but it's good seeing JQ put up solid numbers. 

LexHerald this morning said Lowe was only one more shoulder dislocation from shutting it down for the year.  Well when it happened after 15 seconds of play in the first half I assumed he had played his last in a Cats uniform.  Heroic, the courage to expose himself to that pain.

Nice game today, excited to see JQ out there and as we all know this team is just different with Lowe and even Dioubate.

They still have there flaws, but if healthy I'd give them a fighting chance against most teams.

They have found a style of play that is working. They are leaning on being physical, aggressive defense, rebound. Leaning into the hard side of basketball. Offense, they need to play inside out, attack the rim, offensive rebounds and second shots. That is who this team needs to be to win.

Very solid win with defense and aggressive play all over the floor for 40 minutes, the only thing remaining is to shoot the basketball better outside, this can happen but realistically needs more consistency.

This is what happens when you have a full squad on the floor and role players doing a good job off the bench, first time this has happened.
