I’d ease up on this. We’re not a clear favorite and a long way from being state champions. Feel like BG will still have a big say so. I can honestly still see BG in the Finals

Not even close. I’m high on the Devils right now. But I was also in this position in 2020, so I need to see it before I believe it…. Any ways I feel like Apollos defense is more in question for this game than their offense. I’m not sure they can stop/slow down Barber. If BG scores 21 they win because I don’t see Apollo scoring more than 3 TD’s against the Purples but I do believe they have a punchers chance.

Not really basing it off of anything other than what Bowling Green have done this season defensively, the 19 points against the Trojans was the Eagles most recent form? Didn’t even mention a loss to Daviess County to end the year but I guess I have now. Only team to really put a whooping on the Purples is the crosstown rival Spartans who have a chance to win 6A. X scored 27 (Wallace could’ve had one or two more, he put in neutral), CAL only scored 27, Flyers had 28. Now I’m supposed to believe the Eagles are going to score in the 20’s too? Seems like a lot to ask.

LOL - yep - @TimeWillTellis marching to his own drumbeat on that comment.  I have said based upon  the eye test, I THINK this O team is as good or better all-around than the past 4 state runner-up teams at O - but also said we will be tested starting this week and every week until the finals if we get there.    This game will tell us a lot and will the Semi’s - that will be very tough.  Apollo a good season but it most likely comes to an end tonight - hope I’m wrong.  JT Edge is a great football player and he was running over the Barren County D late, so I know he is a gamer!  I hope they keep it competitive.

No I was agreeing with you…we should never act like we are going to win it all…until we’ve won it all a few times!  Good luck purps tonight.  Much respect to BG always.  And TWT definitely likes Apollo a lot - but most of us in Owensboro root for the other Owensboro teams.

Nothing but love Bill!!! I will be at Rash tonight supporting the Devils. I have players I coached at the youth league that play at Apollo. Yes I’m a Devil fan but I also like some players at Apollo and their coach who I respect because what he did for my nephew who was playing at Owensboro.
