Georgetown 84 Kentucky 70 (Exhibition)

Featured Replies

Well that was quick, Cats go from giant killers last week to just a pitiful game against the Hoyas.

61-46 Hoyas with 12 minutes left.

Hoyas are tougher, more aggressive and forcing the action on both ends.

No Aberdeen has really hurt tonight as the Hoya PG has killed UK tonight.

The Cats are currently down 68-56 at the under 8 media timeout in the 2nd half.

Cats playing like they just met at the gym this morning.

On the up side, it should be really easy to get their attention in practice.

Still up 12 at 77-65 at the under 4 media timeout in the 2nd half. Looks like a possible upset.

84 to 70, final.

Looked horrible on both ends.

Tonight should probably quiet anyone who thinks Colin Chandler is a point guard. He can do it for a minute here or there but that's obviously not his best position.

Don't let my criticism of Chandler gloss over the fact that there's plenty of criticism to go around after tonight. But it's an early season exhibition. They'll get better.

Cats being without both point guards really hurt last night. They were also soft in the paint. Quaintance will be a big help down low in a couple of months.

Maybe I'm out of the loop (I wouldn't be shocked) but when did the DI schools go to playing other DI schools in exhibitions?  UK has played Georgetown and Purdue.  Louisville played Kansas.

What happened to warning up against Kentucky State or Thomas More?

This is the first year that teams have taken this path.  I think it is going to catch on.

I'm just guessing, I'd say need to fill the stands to keep that NIL money flowing in what would otherwise not be well attended pre-season games.  Just an opinion, be it from left field.
