Here lately this game wouldn’t deserve mentioning due to both teams struggles. I think for the last game ever between these two Rivals before they consolidate it deserved a post.

Christian County comes into this game 1-7 with their only win coming against Class A Caverna 40-32. Christian County is a once proud program who has fallen on hard times the last 7-8 years, and that’s putting it nicely. It seems like a game vs their longtime rival would be the one game left that they would come with tremendous energy and passion.

Hopkinsville comes into this game 4-4 & off a thrilling victory over Henderson County 31-29. The Tigers can clinch at least the #2 seed in 6A D1 with a win over their hated rival. They are led by do everything SR RB James Bradley Jr who can eclipse the 1000 yard rushing mark with 46 yards this Friday. He will look to add on to his 23 TD’s as well.

Still will be a weird feeling this time next year not having Christian County Colonel Football & Hopkinsville Tiger Football but I guess that’s the way things are these days.

I’ll believe it when I see it, been far too long of a discussion. That being said the Tigers will roll in this one and go for a running clock.

TIGERS!! get the win in the final ever match-up between the two.

Great Facebook post last night from Chris Jung about this being the final game of the rivalry's history. If you can find it, read it. Well worth your time.

I saw the All time series is 29-29. Tied up and last meeting so winner cements all time winning status.

Really cool to know. Thanks!

That is honestly amazing that it plays out like this. It really is sad that these two, once dominate, programs have fallen to the point they are at today.  Give me the Tigers in the final game of this old rivalry.

Anyone have a final?

Tigers dominate and held a 41-6 halftime lead. With the win the Tigers are the 2 seed in 6A D1 & will host Daviess County in round 1.

So WK, that means the Tigers likely go to South Round 2?

Looks that way. 33-21 game the Tigers lost in Hoptown. I’m not sure the Tigers want to see SW though.
