Touchdown Tigers! 64 yard run by Nathan Pabst (his 4th of the night). 49-6 Tigers.

Beechwood QB Queen was offered by Arizona State! Pretty impressive!

  • Heck of a football player that big frame that colleges love definitely helps! I can see Queen leading the Tigers back to the State Championship and winning 2 in a row.

  • RPI doesn’t come into play until round 3, so Bracken will be on the road at Breathitt County in round 2, regardless of RPI.

Tigers win 49-6.

Bracken County has a solid team. They very well may be the 3rd best team on the east side of the state Behind Beechwood and Belfry. They need to work hard on the passing game. They have potential to make plays passing the ball with Benedict playing again.

On the Beechwood side, Nathan Pabst showed off his wheels running the ball. His speed is elite. I am guessing 8 carries in the game and 4 went for TD's - 1 yard, 25 yards, 44 yards and 62 yards.

Elite speed is very accurate for Pabst as well as a few more Tigers.

Yes, RB Brody Aylor also showed his speed on a couple nice runs. We all know Tyler Fryman's speed. Bracken County pretty much triple covered Fryman all night. WR Caleb Arrasmith also made some nice plays. The Beechwood offense has a lot of weapons.

Polar Bears make a trip to face a very solid Pikeville squad to end the season.  That’ll def help them prepare for a playoff run.

Volker has taken the fire that was already lit at Beechwood before his time and thrown a whole can of gasoline into it. Love it.

Yes, so did Barre light the fire? Then Yeagle threw a lot of gas on it? Rash threw gas on the Barre/Yeagle fire? And now Volker keeps that fire burning bright?

Your order of maintaining the bonfire seems correct lol. I think Yeagle used a little lighter fluid to get a bigger flame going. I think Rash kept chopping wood and throwing it in to build it up for the next guy. I think Volker seen what unlimited resources he had and decided he was going to light that thing to the max.

If Bracken is the third best team in the East that says a lot. It looked like this game could have been worse than the score. Nathan Pabst mom and dad were both Bellevue Tigers Athletes. His mom was very quick and dad was outstanding in football, basketball, and track.

Prestonsburg and Breathitt County are both better than Bracken County. Bracken has no passing game to speak of, and the 2nd half consisted of them basically running rugby scrum plays up the middle with an occasional pop pass. The running clock along with Beechwood’s play clock operator being asleep at the wheel more than a few times, when Bracken had about 55-60 seconds in between plays to snap the ball, helped them have the ball for the first 19 mins of the 2nd half. Beechwood had the ball 7 times, and scored 7 times. They ran 23 plays of offense, (3 Plays in the 2nd half) and could have scored at will against the soft defense Bracken was playing, that ended up almost looking like a prevent defense, and Beechwood ran the ball at will against it.

I can’t see Bracken going into Breathitt and winning in round 2, unless they end up playing on a sloppy track, where Bracken’s big line and methodical run game could have some success.

I will say Bracken is a much different team with a healthy Dalton Tarter.  Hoping they held him out for the playoffs.

Sure they are better with Tarter, but if his hammy has been tweaked since week 2, and it was aggravated last week against St Henry, the playoffs are just a couple weeks away, not sure how healthy he will be in a couple of weeks. They will win the first game against West Carter, but I can’t see them going into Breathitt in a couple of weeks and coming away with a win.

As far as the game this past Friday, Tarter playing or not playing would not have made much of a difference. Bracken was never going to stop Beechwood in that game.

Hate this young man losing his senior season like he has.  Did not know it was tweaked again.  A very nice high school baller on both offense and defense.  He would make any team better.
