D-Backs lost 7-4 tonight to the Padres so they have now been elimnated so it is just the Reds or the Mets now.

Reds will know exactly what they need by game time tonight. Mets play at 4:10. Mets lose, and the Reds can clinch a playoff spot on national TV. Mets win, and the Reds will have that urgency to keep their spot. 
 

This is fun stuff. 

I hope the Reds are looking at this in the way that now for the next two days they control their own destiny win today and tomorrow and it does not matter what the Mets do. It would make my weekend better if the Mets lose this afternoon. Plus a Mets loss and a Reds win today would me Greene would be rested and ready to go in the Wild Card game!

Mets about to win, so no matter what the Reds do it will come down to Sundays games to decide it. Reds play tonight.

Twins are up 1-0 on the Phillies right now.  That game won't end before the Reds take the field, but it would increase the chances for the Reds if the Phillies could lose, because that would give the Brewers the 1 seed and remove any motivation they have for tomorrow.  And maybe they wouldn't throw Peralta.
