I agree with @WKY_Football and others above about this being a trap game.  The PT/Mayfield game is more than just a football game.  There are pep rallies, special week events and Big crowd.  This game won't have that.  AND while they played McCracken and Graves "on the road" that's a really easy bus ride; this won't be that either - more like an hour and a half each way.

Tilghman is the better team, but man I was impressed with Madisonville when they came to BG last season.  Tough and hard-nosed, well-coached and never quit.  IF, Madisonville's OLine can hold their own and produce positive yards rushing, I can see Madisonville hanging around.

Man, I'm intrigued to try to make this one on a Thursday!  Is it going to be streamed anywhere?

PT has scored at least 49 points in all 3 games.  Isn't that just a normal day for them?

Yes but the first two games Tilghman played was not the level of competition that Mayfield is.

Lots of things to watch for tonight. I want to see how PT lines up on defense against the unbelievably strong running attack out of different formations that Madisonville will run. 

Sounds easy to stop the run when you know it's coming, but when you don't know where it's going and over commit to one side due to motions/fake handoffs, you get burned. Seen it happen many times. 

 

Watching on NFHS since having to stay an extra hour at work took it's toll on my plans for the night. Hate to miss this in person! 

I'll update as best I can from the stream and radio broadcast. 

Big Mr. Football implications tonight. There's more attention on this game due to being moved to Thursday. Hightower has a chance to really make a move up the ladder. He can generate some Jacob Savage or Marlon Harbin level heat if things go right for him tonight.

For that matter, Cam Wade can elevate his standing, as well. He went off against Mayfield last week. Another game like that tonight would give him another substantial boost.

Madisonville received first. 

Hightower huge run! That guy is a beast.
