Corbin and Pulaski County enter their Friday night matchup both at 3-0. Corbin is coming off the 7-0 win over Bryan Station in the weather-shortened slugfest that was called at half. The Maroons went to North Hardin and picked up a two score win.

Pulaski likes to go to the air while Corbin has relied on their ground game so far. Corbin is really still trying to find their stride offensively.

Defensively, I think Corbin has a chance to show Pulaski some things they haven’t seen so far in this young season. I expect that these teams to really challenge each other and keep this close.

Pulaski averages 200 yards a game on the ground and has a trio of backs in Brock Ford and Carrier. I wouldn’t say they air it out.

I don't know that they can show them much more than they have seen last night. I don't think they have a Josiah Hope roaming the D Lines and I'm pretty sure Bryan Station and North Harding probably would hold a speed advantage over Corbin. If the Corbin defense shows up that allowed North Laurel to bully them on the ground in the second half they will not be in a favorable position at the end of the night. As far as Pulaski being a throwing team that's probably the farthest thing from what they are and they wanna be all you have to do is watch and they will live and die this season by the rushing attack. Needless to say it will be another quality opponent for the Maroons and one I know they will be fired up for being the first home game of the season.

Well, Malachi Brown got an offer from Ohio St - so they might.

He is a stud for sure, if he is better than Hope or as good I'm looking forward to watching him play, I love watching great players play the game. Last year even with the twins on the field Pulaski moved the ball pretty well against Corbin so I guess I was just basing my opinion in what I saw then against watching the Hope kid play. But I still doubt they can show much more than what Pulaski has seen thus far just my opinion.

The twins weren't on Corbin's roster last season.  They were already at UK.

I guess that's what sucks about getting old. I lost a year, my wife said it's about time to turn me out to pasture....

Pulaski Co. 28-21.

Pulaski hung 49 on Bryan Station a week before Corbin struggled to find the endzone against them in a rain shortened game, while the Hounds appear to have the stronger defense. Could easily go either way.

I'll take the more balanced Maroons at home. I'm not convinced that Corbin can beat really good teams without throwing the ball. We'll find out tonight.
