Male, Mayfield, and Highlands!

Kentucky represent!!!

St. X #37.

Kentucky has a good amount in the top 25 I believe. Congrats to Male, Mayfield and Highlands.  Male and Mayfield have a real chance to move to 1 and 2 within the next few seasons.

If I’m remembering correctly Valdosta has or had fallen on hard times with the football program not to long ago.

From Saint Xavier Football on Facebook.

37. (35) St. Xavier (Louisville, Ky.) — 822
All-time record: 822-321-20
Source: KHSAA record book
2024: 7-5
First season: 1917
State championships: 13 — 1962, 1969, 1974, 1975, 1978, 1986, 1992, 1995, 1997, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2021
Notable coaches: Mike Glaser, 1982-2017 (336-78); Kevin Wallace, 1984-93, 1996-2017 (299-101), 2018-23 (at St. Xavier, 47-15)

Trinity has won more Football State Championships since 1968 (1st) than any other high school in the U.S. (29)

But not more wins all time.

Owensboro at 43rd with 810.

Paducah T is 25th with 840.

Of course as a Mayfield fan I always love this list. There are many KY programs high on the list. Paducah, Owensboro, St. X, Danville, Ashland, Bowling Green, Somerset etc. Many great storied programs in Kentucky. And then of course you have Trinity! But also Manual! And Central! And then the “newer” powers…Beechwood, Covington Catholic, Boyle County, Belfry, CAL. I know I left some out but gotta love some Kentucky High School Football. Maybe one day sooner than later I will get to see Mayfield at the top of that all time national list.

While Kentucky has the majority of it, it’s pretty awesome that 4/5 is between here and Ohio.
