Looks like the Generals are in 2A District 6 with Breathitt Co., Morgan Co., and West Carter for the next cycle.

Thought the previous coach did as good of a job as anyone could. The job is in a better place. 

After accepting the job back in the spring, Jody Mouser has now left to go back to Corbin and take over their middle school program. Anyone on the short list for this one?

The timing is awful. BUT... often, these late openings create an opportunity for a young assistant that wants to be a head coach. Tough for those guys with no experience to get a head coaching job, January through April. June is a whole new ballgame. 

Tough jobs = opportunity to build, create solutions, and truly learn to teach the game. Best of luck to Jackson County and whoever is fortunate to be their next head football coach!
