They had a dust up with Woodford because Woodford Co coaches were saying things to Boyle Co? I’m just making sure I understand who did what.

Woodford Coaches were chirping the Driver kid because of his offers.

  • Maybe they’ve been listening to play by play guys to much.    Pretty ridiculous for coaches (adults) to be saying anything negative to a player(child). Positive words or none at all. It starts

I don’t know what has happened there but over the past few years they have become very chippy. That includes guys on their staff.

With the rule change it's hard enough to talk to your own players.  But with opposing players, I feel like the only thing a coach should say is "great game" and "good luck on your season."  Unless you have a personal relationship with that kid and/or his parents, and even then, that can wait until you're off the field.  You walk a fine line when communicating with players, and one misstep and they're talking about you in public forums.

So they were chirping because it wasn’t major schools I mean if you have offers I think that’s pretty good.

He tagged off on their RB and their coach continued on the rest of the game saying “no chance he gets him in a game. Nah he couldn’t get him in a game. All those offers but he couldn’t get him in a game.”

It was a lot of crazy talk to me considering both teams had week 3 open last year and Woodford wouldn’t play..
