See posts above. UK is guaranteed a bye. The worst they can finish is the 8 seed, and that is if they lose to Missouri. Beat Missouri and they are a 5-7 seed.

Not guaranteed a bye. I just had one of the teams wrong it was Ole Miss, Vandy and Kentucky instead of Miss. State, Vandy and Kentucky. This below is from that article above where there is one scenarios where the Cats could fall to the #9 seed.

The only way Kentucky could fall to the No. 9 seed is if there is a three-way tie involving UK, Ole Miss, and Vanderbilt. UK would lose that tiebreaker due to overall record (1-2) and begin the SEC Tournament as the No. 9 seed playing against No. 16 seed South Carolina on Wednesday afternoon

You are seeing something no one else is seeing then. Every report is that with every scenario, the worst UK can be seeded is 8th. If you're correct, congrats on being the only person to find the 9th place scenario.

UK is 9-8, Miss St is 8-9 and Vandy is 8-9. UK is currently 8th and has a 2-1 record against MSU and Vandy. Ole Miss is 10-7 and not involved in UK making it or not.

It is right there in black and white in post #12 of the link that @DragonFireposted down in where it said the scenario where Kentucky could finish in the #8 or #9 seed. It is very unlikely but it is possible.

Read the last portion of that post. It rules out a 9th place finish.

No with them losing it rules out any chance of falling to the #10 seed not the #9 the article plainly says in the section of either a #8 or #9 seed. The article said that with both Miss. State and Vandy losing there is not way the Cats could fall to the #10 seed is how it reads to me. If they could not fall to #9 why would they list a scenario where they could.

It was possible when they posted that, but one of the keys of the 9 seed was it could only happen in a three way tie for 9th involving Ole Miss. That became impossible when Ole Miss won against Tennessee. They have 10 wins - Mississippi State and and Vandy can only get to 9, where Kentucky is. Kentucky will win the tiebreaker.
