Ugh! I thought they were playing really well overall tonight, until the last 3 minutes. In the last 3 minutes our freshman Ky boys played like freshman and had some bad turnovers, and struggled on defense. Then our older guys were lazy and not even attempting to block out. Plus some questionable decisions by Pope too. Just flat out bad those last 3 minutes for the whole team.

Very frustrating….Another disappointing loss against an Unranked team!

It’s like the unranked teams that play like there isn’t anything to lose has our # this season.

Whereas the teams that are ranked we play with a different gear.

110% in agreement! Total 180 from Tuesday on the close out time.

A lot of teams play to the level of the competition.

That is UK! UK currently is 5 and 1 against the top 6 teams in the country based off the committees rankings today. Kentucky is 4 and 2 overall against teams with winning records in conference play. Yet UK is 2 and 4 against teams with losing records in conference play. 
 

If this team can find away to make it out of the first weekend of the tournament, they truly could make a run. However, the question is can they make it out of the first weekend. This team truly could go either way.

Pope when he enters the locker room tonight!

We were up by 5 at 69-64 with 3:36 to play and we gave up 18 points in the last 3:36. In that last 3:36 we gave up 5 offensive rebounds and had 4 turnovers.

We need to get March healthy!  

The Cats have an extra day off before their next one as they play Vandy on Wednesday, the 19th as they play the Wednesday game for the next two weeks.

The last 3 minutes?  They went over 5 minutes without a basket in the middle of the second half. Perry is doing as best he can but he's not up to speed and not a true point guard. It's hard to win SEC road games. It's extremely hard to win them without your starting point guard, your back up point guard and your second leading scorer. It is what it is, UK will take their lumps until they get healthy and that may not happen in time.

Disappointing, but there aren't any terrible losses in the SEC. LSU or South Carolina would be bad losses but that is it.

In a true road game you expect there to be a few parts where things don’t go well. Even in that dry spell early in the second half, the defense at least played solid during that part to keep them right there. Putting them in position to be up 4 with 3 minutes to play. Then the last 3 minutes literally everything was bad.
