Unfortunately the other coach in this state has also done a great job, and probably even more deserving with the job he has done at UL considering how bad they were the two years under Payne.

  • What's strange is it seems like it should be a bad matchup but it really isn't. I do think Tennessee is lacking the big physical guys they've had in the past. Seemingly so many eastern European banger

  • Somebody explain this team. Win big games without big players. Better record vs ranked teams than unranked.

Unless we just win 1 or 2 games the rest of the year if Pope doesn’t win coach of the year it’s a joke!!  5 wins over top 10 teams!!

A nice game off the bench from both Perry and Noah. Our bench outscored the Vols bench 26-13.

Great win! Obviously the last two games have not been against very good offensive teams, however either way the defensive effort has been much better. Pope has done an amazing job dealing with some of the the injuries they have had this year. Definitely shows his offensive system is not dependent on any one player.

I will keep saying it. However, this team has a chance to be a team gives us an exciting deep tournament run, or knocked out the first weekend. Either scenario wouldn’t be a surprise.

Yes he has but Pope has been better I think, all the injuries he has dealt with to key players and still has this team competing, starting point guard AND backup PG, incredible

You serious, Clark?

Cats just have Tennessee's number this year.

I think it has to do with matchups as much as it is anything else. Kentucky struggles defensively against really athletic teams. Tennessee is good but they're not super athletic. I also think Kentucky is improving some defensively finally. It's very evident though how much better they are on defense when Butler is in the game.

He has done a great job but it is not really that close. Pope is currently 7-2 against ranked teams including 5 over top 10 ranked teams while Kelsey is 1-4 vs. ranked teams plus the SEC has 15 out of their 16 teams in the league have winning records while only 10 of 18 ACC teams have winning records. Plus the Cats have 8 of their leagues 16 teams ranked and the ACC has only 2 out of 18 ranked and currently Louisville is not one of them.

Very pleasantly surprised with how well Perry and Noah played tonight. I'll be honest, they're both progressing nicely and are playing better than I thought they were capable of this year.

You think Pope should be over Kelsey in COY because he's dealt with injuries?
