These are great, especialy when u have big guns - and a bobbed wire tattoo really may earn you some all state recognition.

Consult w/a professional(certified strength and conditioning specialist,CSCS) before attempting any of these olympic lifts. As someone stated the key factor in all lifts is TECHNIQUE.

Lifting 12 or more ounces of Creatine or Andro and ingesting can provide dramatic results. :ylsuper:

You got that right:ylsuper: When I was in school, before games I'd go in the weight room and rep out some preecher curls just to make me look swole in the bicep region:lol:

I dont condone Andro anymore, it was legal when I was in HS and I used it for about a year before it was pulled of the market and I must say the results were phenominal, who knows about long term, but Creatine is probably the safest supp out there and I still use it to this day

It is probably not a good idea to condone any supplement on this site.

I think its hilarious that someone was doing curls before the games to make their arms look "swole". I hope you put as much thought into your assignments and game prep.

I am not sure if there is a lift that is BEST for football. All basic lifts play an important role in preparing an athlete for an upcoming season. As others have mentioned doing the lift proper is most important. Running (distance & sprints) Jump Rope and doing drills based on your position are also a great way to build endurance and strength. A key factor is stretching before and after each workout. Diet is also important.

Abdominal work and stretching is definitely NOT emphasized enough in H S.

I think you missed my sarcasm:lol:

Those were actually tongue in cheek comments not meant to be taken seriously.

I know, just giving my serious 2cents on the joke :D

So, is bench not a big concern for football players?? I really dont think so. If I was a coach I would much rather see someone max out on cleans, squats, deadlifts than benching. Also, another good lift is the push press. Works out the shoulders, upper back, chest, and quads.

The most important lift is the one up of the couch and get that kid into the weight room listen to the coaches, and eat and hydrate correctly.

That is a crucial, yet difficult lift.

Easily the power clean, every motion of it is important and every player uses it.
