Beechwood 72 Scott 28

I just saw the score.  Did others expect such a lopsided margin?

Wowza… wouldn’t have guessed this score. Good for the Tigers!

Is Fromeyer still the coach at Scott? They must be down, because he is a good coach. Hopefully this was just a really off night for Scott and they can settle in and play some good ball.

I watched Scott scrimmage Ludlow before the season. It was tough to get a read on either team because of how down both were.

Yes.

Lost 7 of top 8 contributors from last season, 6 to graduation and 1 to transfer. They were competitive with Highlands in a loss. Beat Cincy Trailblazers and St. Henry. Last night they struggled on both ends of the court. Beechwood was red hot for the perfect storm.

Nearly an identical score from last year when Scott won 71-39 when Scott returned everyone, and Beechwood was young.

I heard Richard Skinner on with Mo Egger yesterday and they talked about last night's game, and Skinny joked about Scott putting a running clock on them last year.  Looks like The Wood was able to return the favor.

Scott is lucky they're in the 10th Region.  They will beat up on the weaker small schools but can't handle the 9th Region middle of the road teams.  Fromeyer got lucky to inherit a well-coached players from Carr his first three years.  Steve is a great guy but not up to par as a coach.  Their best win last year was against Walton Verona and outside of them only had two wins against teams with a .500 or better record (Beechwood, Holy Cross).

Record from 2017-2019 (65-35)

Record from 2020-2024 (58-92)
