Trinity, Highlands, St.X., Boyle County, Danville, Male, and now Paducah Tilghman.  Pretty good company.

With South Warren moving to 6A that’ll set them up to be the next program to earn this accomplishment if I had to guess. Indeed very good company, thanks!

  • I feel Franklin County missing their stud runningback was huge.  Congratulation Tilghman on the State Title.

Waiting in line for my state championship shirt to be made. Getting them made on site is pretty nice.

  • Feels good to have another title.

Congratulations to Paducah Tilghman! Franklin County has some big physical kids. You can tell they don't skip reps in the weight room.

Hopefully Tilghman can get South Warren back on the schedule. I was told the extra district game added forces us to drop them and that will be good competition for us.

Would like to see them play Bowling Green at some point as well.

Can any of the Franklin County fans speak to the "RPO BOYZ" uniforms? I am sure someone has explained it before ... but I must have missed it. I know what an RPO is ... surprised to see it on a uniform like that.

Thank you! My eyes got tired by the end of the evening ... the D looked like an O for some reason. Good to see some creativity every now and then.

I saw coach giving a lot of credit to Tony Franklin after the game. Is he on staff or just a paid consultant for their offense?

Hats off to both teams and really to the 4A class as a whole for a historical state tournament. This caps off some great, great games that were played.

It seems like every time Tilghman has won the title (Especially take a look back at some of their teams from the late 1980's) defense was their foundation and this year was no different. Franklin County was actually the first team to score 20 on them this season. Very impressive defense by Tilghman this year and that comes against teams such as Corbin, John Hardin, Franklin County, and other teams that put nice offensive numbers on the board this season. The most difficult part about Franklin County (and I know I'm repeating this from other threads) but they can come out and attack an opponent using the wishbone or they can attack them spreading it out. They have so many different elements to their offense and that's what makes them so difficult to defend.

Franklin County had a great year and a tremendous run. There are very, very few schools that get to the state semifinals five years in a row and have two title game appearances where, despite not winning, they still have a strong showing.

Congratulations to Paducah Tilghman on the win and to both teams on a great season. And again, major cap tip to both teams who did a great job representing 4A!

I would say more so just a consultant, but idk that for sure. Rumors were going around he was joining the staff next year but I think it’s just wishful thinking.

Must have some great boosters, I've heard that Franklin doesn't come cheap.

It probably helps the head coach is from Crittenden County also.

Congrats to Tilghman. Heck of run over the last two seasons, going 28 - 1 with a semifinal appearance to go along with the state championship.

He was listed in the online program as an assistant ... not sure if that means he is actually an assistant or something else.
