I thought Tubby didn't want recruits in town last weekend???

It is an unofficial, and it appears he didnt get with the kid until after the game, but I am wondering the same thing. Pettigrew was also in town.

1) Both were on unofficial visits which a major difference.

2) There is a reason Moses wasn't wanted on campus this weekend. What do you want Tubby to do, say "Marshall we'd love to have you, but we're not confident that you're smart enough to qualify so we're gonna pass."

It would be a great pick up for the Cats. Lets hope it works out.

Being honest. Novel concept...

Would be a nice move, and a gret pickup. However, the ironic thing is that Tubby's excuse for putting Moses off for the visit last weekend was because he needed to focus solely on the game and didn't need an intereference. Ironic how he had time to give Frease a look around and not Moses. Hopefully this will work out in the long run, but as far as next year I believe we let a good one slip through our hands in Marshall Moses.

After a weekend visit to Kentucky, Xavier now has new company at the top of 2008 four-star prospect Kenny Frease. The 6-foot-11, 255-pound center from Perry High School in Massillon, Ohio, only has a couple other schools hanging onto his list.

Frease has improved his athleticism over the past year.

"The trip was awesome," said Frease. "It was my first time on Kentucky's campus. We got there about ten minutes before tip off and it was a really good game to watch.

"After the game, I went down to the locker room and met some of the players and talked to the coaches. Then Coach Hanson, Coach Smith and I went to the new practice facility and looked at the locker rooms and offices. The facilities were impressive.

Tubby does need to grow a pair in the case of Moses and also with Rigot and Hanson. :fire:

There is a reason why the only schools interested in Moses are from the Big 12, outside of UK that is. It's my understanding that they accept partial qualifers, and the SEC doesn't.

What say you if Moses doesn't end up qualifying??

I say get tutors, advisors for him, whatever it takes to improve him academically. We need help at the four for next season, and he could be an instant help. I don't think his grades are as big as a problem as Tubby lets on, It has to be something else. His scores qualified, so If we could get him on campus, as a coach I would see he got the help he needed (tutors, advisors, etc.) to make the grades. I also say we missed out on a very good recruit and Ok St. will reap the benefits of our mistake. That says me.

I believe Tubby went this route in 2001. Parker, Carruth, Stone, and ?, seems I'm missing someone. Lesson learned!!

Maybe not. Moses isn't either one of those guys, and those guys aren't each other. Basically all I'm saying is everyone is different so you never know how it would have turned out. All I know is we had a talented guy who was crazy about UK and the program and would have gave anything to be here. That is something hard to find nowadays (someone passionate about wanting to be a wildcat) and basically all we said was let us pack your bags for OK St.

Alot of you all keep talking about Moses like he would have been a savoir and was a can't miss. There must be a reason why us and only big 12 schools were the only ones really interested in him. As I said before, all of you that keep saying Moses is going to be a real good player and we missed out on him what are you basing that on. Are you only basing that on from the videos where he dunks a basketball? Because yeah that is impressive he has some good dunks, but that doesn't mean he will be a really good basketball player in college like you all keep saying...

We should go ahead and forget about him. It isn't like we are going to get him, not arguing with this years class. If I was a betting man I would bet that Tubby couldn't land him.
