Final per the broadcast.

How about them Spartans!!!!

Sayre is definitely playing like they are continuing on their mission. Congratulations to the Spartans for advancing and to Campbellsville on a great season.

Dear Strength of Schedule Committee,

The Spartans are running the gauntlet!

Sincerely,

Hard Work

Congratulations to Sayre on a magical run. They have an excellent team.

I thought this might be the year for Campbellsville but it just seemed like they plateaued down the stretch.

Every single team in the state can play a tough schedule.

Very, very, very few can go 14-0.

Turnovers and penalties became their Achilles heel during the KCD game, and they were never able to quite get it right after that.

They had the right game plan for KCD but an interception just before half that if the ball was elevated just a little more is probably a touchdown and the Slabaugh kid makes an incredible interception. And I know Coffman and Pennington get most of the praise for KCD but Slabaugh was phenomenal for them last night.

The Eagles return all but one starter next year on the defensive side of the ball and the offense brings everyone back. They’ll be back in the hunt next year.

Honestly was surprised with this outcome. I think offensively campbellsville fell right into what Sayre wanted them to do. They stacked the box and campbellsville could never get their run game going. On the flip side of that they never passed the ball to stretch Sayres defense out. Turnovers cost them once again as well. With campbellsville only losing 2 starters I expect them to re group and be back in the hunt next year. I would like to see them open their playbook up next year and use their weapons they have instead of using one or two players. Congrats to Sayre they out game planned and out coached Campbellsville and I expect them to beat Raceland and win their first ever state championship.
