State Champion Prediction For Each Class

Featured Replies

1A: Pikeville - They've looked shaky, but they're still the standard.

2A: Owensboro Catholic - When push comes to shove, I think Atwell can will them to victory over everyone in 2A.

3A: CAL - They have the benefit of seeing Central already. I think they're a more complete team and they'll be better prepared if it comes back around.

4A: Boyle County - c'mon

5A: Bowling Green - The St. X game showed their potential. I don't know if anyone else in 5A can go that hard.

6A: Trinity - With this class so wide open, it's hard not to go with old reliable. Rooting for Manual, though.

I can see Tilghman in 4A, but the times I've watched Boyle this year, they've bordered on invincible. I think they'd have to have an off night.

I only follow 6A and I'm a Trinity guy.

But the Manual predictions are where I'm at in my mind.

I am in agreement with you about Bowling Green and thought similarly after they beat St X. I still like Cooper’s chances but Bowling Green is very good and will be a huge challenge for anyone in 5A to beat, regardless of who.

1A - Pikeville

2A - Bwood

3A - Cal

4A - Boyle

5A - Cooper

6A - Trinity

But Boyle is the only lock….IMO

1A - Pikeville

2A - Owensboro Catholic

3A - Central

4A - Boyle County

5A - Cooper

6A - Trinity

The two I feel most confident about is Trinity and Boyle County. Have a hard time seeing Boyle losing to anyone in the state regardless of class. I'm a Trinity guy and I think given how things will likely unfold with the RPI reseeding the Shamrocks have a great benefit to get to Kroger Field and do so with an easier path than others.

In 1A, Pikeville hasn't had the best year record wise but has played some tough competition. One of the biggest rosters and maybe the most well-funded program in 1A. Can never count them out. In 2A, I think OC is above the rest and would love to see them finish the job this year. Central has shown what they are made of and has been tested well. Will likely have to go through CAL again. Been very impressed with Cooper and would love to see them get their first title in a unbeaten season.

A - Pikeville

AA - Owensboro Catholic

AAA - Central

AAAA - Paducah Tilghman

AAAAA - Bowling Green

AAAAAA- Ryle

1A Sayre

2A Beechwood

3A Central

4A Boyle

5A South Warren

6A Trinity

Agree here if Fryman is back to defend some of those Atwell lasers.  Otherwise OC.

6A- just been sensing Manuel for about half season.  The shutout of Male convinced me.
