My early thought on how it shakes out. Clemson could be a bit higher. Penn St and Ohio St could flip.

 I don't think anyone wants IU at OSU rematch or Clemson at Notre Dame. If the official rankings are kinda janky, it will be to set up more compelling first round games. I think the top 12 will be good from the committee, just the order they are in may be questionable.

I agree pretty much but I still think that Alabama will be in and SMU out but I really think they are better than Indiana it will be interesting to see. I hope ESPN gets to it before 1:00pm and NFL kicks even though the show is set for 4 hours if they are smart the 12 will be revealed by 12:55 and then spend the next 3 hours discussing it and breaking everything down.

Resume' of teams vying for last spot.

They will put Alabama in based on their one Top 10 win while completely ignoring their three touchdown loss to a 6-5 team.

Make your case for the others, they all have flaws. I think South Carolina has a good reason to be in, but they lost heads up to Alabama. If heads up doesn't matter, then SC is the most deserving.

Easy. SMU should be in over Alabama. Fewer losses and played in their conference championship.

Then why shouldn't Army be in over SMU? Fewer losses and won their conference title game.
