Hoosier Gym

Featured Replies

Has anyone been there in person? Is it worth making the trip? Thinking about going on 12/14 when Estill County plays Newton Falls OH.

Some neat basketball things in that area.  The Hoosier Gym is a pretty neat place, if you are a fan of the movie.  New Castle has the Indiana High School Basketball Hall of Fame and the Largest High School Gym in the World.

If you are a basketball fan, that's 3 pretty neat things to see all within a few minutes of each other.

I went last year and it was incredible! So cool. I made a post in here last year if you want to find it in the Basketball Forum. I posted a review and tons of pics.

Do they charge to get into the games? I seen on they're website that they'res no admission fee but donations are accepted. I don't think I've ever been to a gym like this.

The Holy Cross boys and girls team played a doubleheader against Walton up there a few years ago.  They did charge to get in, but I don't remember how much. It wasn't anything too much.  I think the hosting school got part of the gate to help cover the cost of renting the gym, but the details are a bit foggy.  It was a fun experience.

Neat experience.  Obviously, very tight gym and benches under the goal.

Went with my son a couple of years ago during the summer. We paid for a tour which was well worth it. They also have a small gift shop with lots of shirts. We were probably there for two hours. Highly recommend it.
