The pairings for the first round of the playoffs have, for the most part, been set in stone in all classes after district play wrapped up this weekend.

Here is how things look in 6A:

Region One:

Warren Central (4) at McCracken County (1)

Christian County (3) at Central Hardin (1)

Barren County (3) at Henderson County (2)

Daviess County at North Hardin (1)

Region Two:

Campbell County (4) at Manual (1)

Meade County (3) at Great Crossing (2)

Simon Kenton (3) at St. Xavier (2)

Pleasure Ridge Park (4) at Ryle (1)

Region Three:

Eastern (4) at Male (1)

Bullitt East (3) at Ballard (2)

Oldham County (3) at Fern Creek (2)

Southern (4) at Trinity (1)

Region Four:

Madison Central (4) at Tates Creek (1)

Henry Clay (3) at Bryan Station (2)

George Rogers Clark (3) at Lafayette (2)

Paul Dunbar (4) at Frederick Douglass (1)

I still believe this title goes through St Matthews.

T is starting to put things together and the young players all have a seasons worth of snaps.

I’m going with the winner of the St X vs Ryle game in the 2nd round to win class 6A.

KHSAA has released the playoff bracket.

I expect to see St. X to come out of the top half. I think St.X gets by Manual the next time around. The bottom half has a few variables. Trinity is my early favorite but Male and FD right there.

Reminder….this bracket only shows matchups for rounds 1 and 2. Matchups for rounds 3 and 4 are determined by RPI rankings for those teams still playing.
