Male 17 Fern Creek 0

Featured Replies

Male lost their workhorse running back Chase Burton who literally laid on the field for 35 minutes while they waited for an ambulance.  Just unforgivable.  Appeared it was a leg injury (probably pretty severe).  After that the Dawgs were just flat with the exception of a 43 yard TD catch by Harris.

??? for Chayce Burton has speedy recovery. Hate that for him.

Can someone tell me why there isn’t an EMS at every game? Shortage? It’s sad that young man had to wait like that.

Wishing the best to Burton!

Was watching the livestream and tough to see the Fern Creek kids react to the injury. Didn't look good.

Such a good kid.

Some Schools do have.

have seen/ heard of this same situation at many JCPS schools.

Unforgiveable.

Maybe the Super. could part with some of that hard earned bonus $$$$$ and insure that Ambulances are at games for the Kids.

Honestly speaking, @Bac2369, Jefferson County has something like 20 public schools with football programs, plus another 4 private schools. Even if half of those have home games on any given Friday, that's an awful lot of squads to have just sitting there waiting for 3 hours in case of an emergency when you look at how much there is going on in the single county that has like 20% of the state's entire population located within their limits.

Would it be ideal to have an ambulance dedicated to every football game in Jefferson County? Yes.

Is it realistic to do that and simultaneously maintain coverage for the rest of the county? No.
