Rowan was never close in that game though. Greenup was within 10 in the second half.

Greenup's TEAM defense wasn't very good. Tough to beat a team like Elliott Co. without good TEAM defense.

The game was within striking distance for Greenup from 16-6 points. In the 3rd quarter the game was about a 10 point difference. Thats when Wolfenbarker received the elbow and had to sit out for a bit. Greenup was out of tune.

The fouls were called different on both ends.

I think everyone continues to forget about Rose Hill (IMO) is a top 5 team.

 

If you played Rose Hill, Greenup, Rowan & Boyd in a 4 team tourney, WHO WINS?? I believe Rose Hill could win more times than not.

If I remember correctly, Elliott held a 13 point half-time lead. It seems some posters keep mentioning that it was "about a 10 point game in the second half." Again, if I am not mistaken, Elliott held a 19 point lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. If it was "about a ten point game," then it was somewhere early in the 3rd. Elliott never lead by less than 10 at any point in the second half. In my determination, it was about a 29 point game when it ended..ha.

 

Also, the game was rough. Elliott plays aggressively, but not with malice. Greenup plays dirty. Holding uniforms (Last year Ethan Faulkner's uniform was literally shreaded during the Greenup game), very hard fouls, and those elbows.

 

I am not at all impressed with GC coaching, styles, or attitudes. I was very disappointed with them.

Elliott led by 13 at the half, led by 22 when Ferguson was hurt at a little over the 2 minute mark of the 3rd. Seems everytime Elliott looked like they were pulling away Greenup gets some buckets. I do not recall GC being within 10 in the 3rd but I could be wrong.

Actually Elliott led by 16 at the half 44-28.

They led at half by 16 and Greenup took the lead down early in the 3rd. Wolfenbarker had to sit, and the game was over.

I would love to agree, but Greenup is the better team of the two.

Greenup has 5 great ballhandlers on the floor at all times and plays more aggressive defense than Boyd IMO.

Isn't it crazy how that got blown so far out of proportion. I mean Hooters has great wings - and an even better fish sandwich. My grandma took my 4 and 7 year old nephews there for lunch one day and thought it was great.

There was alot more to that than a trip to Hooters.

There was just as many bad calls for Elliott as there was for Greenup!!! Ferguson got beat to death inside several times and there was no call!!! Ferguson sit out longer than wolfenbarker id say that stalemates that reason for the loss. As for the Middleton complaint Toiga Cinar didnt dress for Elliott either!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, get beat by 29 and gripe about refs. :cry: Greenup County was not impressive in any way. I was looking forward to a good game and only one team played it. Big win for Elliott and Greenup's got a lot more problems than officiating.

I personally don't see how anyone can get beat by 29 and blame it on the officials. That is just an old fashion, taking to the woodshed butt kickin'.
