Interesting take. Any reason to why? Lickert has won everywhere he has been, Weinrich has not.

He did not win a CC. He had some really good teams and didn't do anything with them

  • A week ago I would have said NewCath wins but after Conner wiped the Breds out I am not so sure.  They do have a common opponent, Scott: Campbell County 63 Scott 27 Newport Central Catholic 55

  • We have free video of this game too! https://www.meridix.com/event/254169

  • This should be a good game. New Cath will need more than 66 yards on the ground as a team though to win this one.

I look for this to be a close game that either team could win.

Campbell has 5 district championships in football since 1970.  The last two came in 2011 and 2012 during Lickert’s tenure.  Also, since 1991 Campbell has had one very rare win against Highlands. It came during Lickert’s tenure in 2016.

Like I was saying, CC had some really good players when he was there and the Highlands win was not anything to brag about. Highlands was 3-8 that year and the win wasn't impressive, only by 3 points.

Also, they were District Champs in 2011 with a record of 4-8, which is a very bad year. 2012, they were 7-5, with a loaded team.

7 season with Lickert- 37-46 two district championships. First 3 years 19-18 two district titles

6 seasons without- 17-46.  Weinrich in 3 full seasons - 8-25

I know both these coaches and greatly respect their contributions and successes with their teams and Northern KY high school football!  With that being said,  I am certain that both of them are thoroughly preparing their players and they will be ready to battle!

I never said Lickert was a bad coach, just an average one IMO. There was really good players most of the years he was there, the talent has dropped off tremendously with Coach Weinrich unfortunately. Good luck to both teams!

Campbell Co goes up 8-0.

New Cath punts. Campbell Co takes over at the 23.

Campbell Co to punt.

New Cath drove the field and scored. 8-7 Campbell Co still leads.

Breds take a 14-8 lead, still in 2nd quarter.
