Lots of calls to 911 about suspicious sounds and reports of gunfire. Coming in from a very wide area. Probably all false, but taking resources to check them all.

Yeah, so much area to cover.  The perp needs to steal a vehicle and jet if possible.

If the pinged location was correct, there aren't many homes in that area...almost none.

They need a K9.  And what is up with the chopper, this should be easy pickings in a rural area with FLIR.

If he's former military there are some ways to hide from FLIR he may know.

Several reports coming from Bluegrass Rd area, it's 5 to 6 miles away. But in two hours he could have made it.

I know on FLIR but not on a K9.

Reports are 5 people shot in initial shooting, all are in stable condition. 

Suspect is out on $1,000 bond for terroristic threatening 3rd.
