How and if I am connecting the dots this perp has military experience and made statements about several people dying today?

Yes.

I would be really concerned about an ambush or sniper like shot coming my way if I was law enforcement.

He purchased an AR15 this morning with 2000 rounds according to the dispatch feed.

Sounds like he's on a one way trip.

Yep, suicide by cop.

Unless some good ole boy gets him first.

Reports of multiple gun shots.

Right, he is giving up his location.  But that also could mean more deaths.

I-75 backed up both ways.

Suspect has threatened to kill his entire family.

They said a family member said the perp threatened to kill a bunch of family members too.  This guy sounds unhinged.

Phone pinging should narrow down the search unless he's ditched it.

They have been working on that for about 45 minutes, at least it feels that way.

I can't believe they are dispatching non-emergency/non-major incident radio traffic on the same channel as the manhunt.
