BTW the top PAC teams in my view are better than Owensboro probably most years...as is the SIAC top teams which was made evident back in the border bowl days.

neutral field
[2023] Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN) 31 (61%), [2023] Owensboro (KY) 26 (39%)

neutral field
[2023] Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN) 31 (60%), [2023] Owensboro (KY) 27 (40%)

So the SIAC is better football (bigger schools and Evansville) than the PAC.  Even Owensboro's below average teams played the SIAC close or beat them.

It's interesting you show a projected matchup from 2023 (a rebuild year for O) that says GS would have beaten them.   Going from 5 years back (2019) O projects to beat GS 4 to 2, but 2023 is somehow a win for GS Here's what we know about 2023:

1 commmon opponent in 2023 - South Warren drubbed Gibson  45-28 and Owensboro beat South Warren 53-22.

Again, all signs to me point to a 2 to 3 TD win by CAL.

They’re putting some pressure on him early, but he was outrunning them from the pocket.  Now, they’re tired because their linemen are going both ways & pressure is next to nothing.

Ironically enough, Gibson Southern and Heritage Hills play in the same conference (PAC).  They actually played each other in the 3A semi-finals last year with Heritage Hills coming out on top.  The PA

The South Warren/Gibson/Owensboro comparison is a good reference considering it's all we have to go by. Owensboro dominated that game against South. I like where your head is at @Brown and I'll also say a 2 TD victory for CAL.

All true.  Let's just say, based on the up and down nature of Owensboro, I'm not super impressed by a 10 point win over them last week.  Hope you get a chance to see Jet Goldsberry compete.

I’ll try and tune in.  My aunt and cousin live in Princeton so I’ve been in your neck of the woods a lot.

This one is live and the free broadcast is amazing.

Young man is solid.  Faster than thought.  HH main RB has left the game with a knee injury.

21-0 CAL right at halftime.

What?

21-0 CAL.

Halftime.

CAL simply has better athletes.  HH having trouble with the speed.  Goldsberry for HH is a solid football player with a live arm & throws a good ball.  Easy can uncork it 55-60 yards in the air.  Other than that, they don’t have much.
