  • I'm not suprised at all. With the transfer portal, NIL, and new 105 man roster limit in FBS this trend will continue. Most HS players will go a level below where they would have gone 10 years ago. The

Committed to Delaware! Congratulations!

Surprised that with all the FBS programs offering that he would choose a FCS program like Delaware.  I am sure he has his reasons and I wish the young man nothing but success and good luck.  Congrats Dylan and Go Blue Hens!

My guess is, the FBS offers he had, were non-committable offers.

I believe Delware just came after him recently and he really like the school.

Delaware is actually in the process of transitioning to FBS G5.

I'm not suprised at all. With the transfer portal, NIL, and new 105 man roster limit in FBS this trend will continue. Most HS players will go a level below where they would have gone 10 years ago. They'll do this so they can get on the field and get college game film and try to move up after the fact. This is the path that most have to go now. Welcome to the new NCAA football.

Couldn't agree more. College coaches now prefer a more grown, mature player through the transfer portal with college experience instead of a high school "project" in their eyes.

UD (as us native Delawareans call the school) is transitioning to D1 next year and will be a member of Conference USA. Traditionally the Blue Hens have been a very strong 1AA/FCS school. They play legit football there and have sent more than a few guys to the NFL. Delaware is a great school, and I wouldn't classify this as "going down" a level.
