Touchdown 49ers to tie it at 24 with still 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter this has turned into a ballgame. If the Lions do lose many will look back at Campbell not taking the 3 earlier in the 3rd quarter. The game has turned since then unless the Lions can turn it back.

The Lions seem to be getting very tight two drops one a very bad one. Then messed up the punt that should have been downed at the half yard line.

Yes and no. Unlike many, I am almost always in favor of taking 3 points over 4th down attempts. But, Campbell's play worked. The receiver dropped the ball.

That is easy now after the play but you would have said take the points before the play the throw was behind the receiver some.

That was as disastrous of a third quarter that Detroit could have. 

The 49ers come all the way back from being down 24-7 to take the lead at 27-24 with 9:42 to play.

He is going for it again. UNBELIEVEABLE!

I do like Dan Campbell, but what the hell is he doing??? He went for it and could have kicked a field goal to take the game back to three possessions earlier. Now he does it again and doesn’t at least attempt tying the game. As disastrous as the third quarter was, Detroit can officially blame Campbell if they end up losing.

Purdy has made 3 great runs in this game. That part has been impressive early in the season he would have stayed in the pocket and try to force a throw.

They are getting ready to be down 10. The Lion defense to me is starting to get a defeated look.

Coaches use analytics as the reason for going for it on 4th down. I want to see analytics based on quality of opponent. I think the analytics get skewed by higher success rates against poorer quality opponents.
