Kind of figured this was coming too. There’s no doubt that he’s the best college football coach to do it in my opinion. The next coach has some mighty big shoes to fill.

Head coach for 4 years in NCAA D1.

I didn't know much about Washington's headcoach but he was certainly a contender given how quickly he elevated that program.  A few more years and he might have the talent he needs in the trenches.  Whether that's in Alabama or Washington remains to be seen.  

DeBoer does not seem like a fit at all for Alabama. He has no connections to the south. The closest he came to the south was Southern Illinois where he was an offensive coordinator for 2 years. Small sample size as D1 head coach. I don't see it at all.
