When is the state title game?

Received this news as I was going to work, so it took me this long to post this:

 

Well, bad news for UK fans. I was told by my source last night, who is good friends with Patterson, right after the Huntington game after he talked to Patterson, he said Patterson told him he was about to announce his college choice. It's Florida.

 

I was told UK was in there until the end and it came down to UK and Florida, but UK slipped back the past month or so. At first Patterson didn't want to go too far from home, but that obviously has changed.

 

I won't get into what I was told some of the reasons were.

Well if this news is correct, then UK will have to make the best with Stewart. I think Stewart will be a excellent player for UK. I have heard rumors that Stevenson may transfer. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, I guess we still have a chance with Lucas but losing Patterson makes this more unlikely.

Coach K & his assistant Johnny Dawkins were in attendance and spent some time with Patrick Patterson after Huntington won their 3rd staright WV state championship. Also in attendance was West Virginia University Head Coach John Beilein and his assistant Jerry Dunn.

This is really bad news for UK. Wonder if they are still in the hunt for Lucas? I've heard he and Patterson are good friends.

I only met Patterson once, seemed like a good kid, for a teenager. But my source told me he is basically a good kid, and Patterson didn't feel like ignoring coach K, or telling him he made the trip for nothing, that Patterson does appreciate the effort and attention from these coaches.

 

If and when UK gets eliminated this year, Tubby needs to fly straight to Huntington and stay there for the next three weeks and talk to Patterson and Co as much as allowed. Players have changed their minds several times at the last minute, so until Patterson signs with someone I will still hope he will change his mind.

What is your opinion on what has happened to change his mind? This is about the 5th power forward that UK has failed to land in the past 3 years, and it's getting me irritated. Something's wrong to cause these high profile kids to pass on a storied program like UK, and whatever it is has got to change.:irked:

I would love to hear the source of this one that got some time with Mr. Patterson after the State Title Game, along with Coach K and others in attendance.

First I know Patterson and he hasnt decided yet, actualy I dont think he will be at Florida. One bad thing I saw is his mom is in love with WVU, she took her picture with their coach and told him she loved him and hoped Patrick goes there. I was like crap. He really does like Coach K but does Tubby also. He said himself that he will narrow it down to three again this week, and announce the second week of April.

As far as coach K, I watched coach K walk out the door and leave before the game was over, Patrick said he understood that some coaches had games to be playing and couldnt be there, but they do call him. He said coach K being their might give him a couple points but wouldn't affect his decision.

By saying all of that I personaly see him at Duke, which I dont like but I think so.

I guess there are some advantages to losing in the 1st round.
