It wont be what lands him. From my understanding his dad wants him to go to Duke. I think that is were he ends up but I just dont know, nobody does but Patterson.

I dont think Patterson knows yet himself. I think he goes back and forth and is really waiting things out. From my understanding his dad is telling him one thing and his mom another, and he seems to have a level enough head that he is really thinking things through.

If education is any factor whatsoever, at least Duke has a leg up there.

I only met Patterson once, seemed like a good kid, for a teenager. But my source told me he is basically a good kid, and Patterson didn't feel like ignoring coach K, or telling him he made the trip for nothing, that Patterson does appreciate the effort and attention from these coaches.

 

If and when UK gets eliminated this year, Tubby needs to fly straight to Huntington and stay there for the next three weeks and talk to Patterson and Co as much as allowed. Players have changed their minds several times at the last minute, so until Patterson signs with someone I will still hope he will change his mind.

 

If you look at my previous posts on Patterson they all state that Patterson had UK way out front, he really liked UK and wanted to stay close to home so his mom could watch him a lot. But something(s) has happened in the last several weeks to change his mind. It doesn't look good for UK landing this one.

 

Could the recruiting of these players this spring determine Tubby's future at UK?

What I know isn't garbage at all. It came from the horses mouth, I talked to Patrick, Coach K, and Coach Beline about it all this weekend. Patterson wont say much though all he made official was they will be three schools on the list sometime this week. And the fact that coach K came might help him a little bit but wont factor into anything. He said all of the coaches are staying in good contact with him, even while they are in the tournament. He will announce second week of April and not until then. Which is smart and huge for Kentucky to make the right moves.

I think WVU is comming on really strong, Beline is a good coach and he told me Patterson will be the man there and he wants him their bad. Patterson mom came up to Beline and took her picture with him and his aunt did to, and they are pretty big WVU fans, they like to have flogged Beline for the picture, and he is pitching heavy. Those are the facts that is known and that is about it. I honestly dont think Patterson has made up his mind yet.

So tell me... What did Coach K have to say to you?

He actualy sat and talked to me about five minues, nice guy ( I told him I cheered for VCU and he laffed) he said basicaly same thing that he felt he had a good shot, and they could really use him. He said he would really help the program and he was a great player. He was talking about the game against VCU, he was still disapointed, and then he got mobbed with fans lol.
