Results mattered back in September, but we are at the end of November now. Texas has been Bama's only loss, while Texas lost to a Average OK team, and struggled against K-State and Iowa St. Texas is not as good late in the season as they were in September, while Bama has continued to improve week in and week out. If those two were to play now, Bama beats them by 2 TD's.

I think this is exactly how the committee will look at it. I'd be interested to see how close the committee is to putting Alabama ahead of Texas now.

So are you telling me that Texas is a better team now, than they were in September?

I telling you they are going and not the team they beat.

That's an opinion.  Texas beat them on the field at Bama and that's an incontrovertible fact.  Texas "struggled against K-State" - a ranked team by the way - and Iowa State, who they beat by 10.  And? Bama struggled with A&M and Arkansas.

The playoff committee has yet to rank Bama ahead of Texas.  Texas is still ahead of Alabama in both polls. So it doesn't seem they agree with you as of yet.  I do think the win over Georgia in this scenario is the key factor.

I'd be more wiling to give ground on this if that win hadn't been by double digits at Alabama.  That's a steep swing to just wave away and say with the certainty that you have that Bama beats them by two TDs.  I just hope Georgia beats them and makes that irrelevant.

Oh, there's no way Georgia is going over Texas in the same scenario, assuming Texas is still just one loss.  Mark THAT down.

I used to love a good "Mark it down" statement.

This one doesn't seem like too far of a stretch. I don't think anybody would be too surprised.

Blast from the past!

Granted as most comments are they are the opinion of the person commenting. Yes, they do have Texas ahead of Bama, and I'm sure that gap between the two is closing more and more each week, just like it is in the Coaches and AP polls. I agree that depending on IF they beat Georgia and how bad will be a key factor. I hope that Bama does beat Georgia, so the committee has to make some very tough decisions. I think Florida State, will get beat by the Ville in the ACC championship game, eliminating them. I think Oregon will be Washington in a rematch, and we will eliminate either OSU or the school up North this Saturday. IF, that scenario comes to fruition, then your 4 teams will be OSU/Michigan Oregon, Bama, Georgia. I disagree, they will take a one loss Georgia team over a one loss Texas team. You can MARK THAT DOWN!

Well we have a fun head to head then, if Bama does beat Georgia.  And naturally as an FSU fan, I hope you're wrong about them losing to Louisville.  You seem to be hoping for chaos and tough decisions - if so, then you should be pulling for FSU too, because that'll be another tough decision to make.

One of those statements will be false - we’ll find out which in 11 days!

I'm hoping it will be a good game. Kinda crazy that we are even in it, tbh.

Well at least I can take solace today that I got this right.
