  • Sage is a really good player, but even at 2 classes below, O’Hara is at a different level throwing the ball and is a much bigger athlete. His soph tape is noticeably better than Mayer and Morgan’s jun

  • Lonaker is amazing and his dad dressed up as Batman (he is a school resource officer) for Halloween was pretty fab too.

Pass incomplete in the end zone.  Cooper start own 18.

I was including every team not just these two. But if they’re the same person then it’s laziness or negligence. No excuse and no reason to complain.

Wow.....Ever been a coach, AD, or official? Read about the pre game coach/official conference. The umpire asks the HC if everyone is legally equipped. Is there anyone I need to check for legality of equipment? The official inspects players during the pre-game warmup. If there is a situation (as apparently happened this evening) it is remedied before the first play of the game. Yes, I've done it. Sounds rather odd to me the way it was handled.

End of 2Q

Cooper lead 21-7, receive second half kickoff

Coaches usually order equipment. Seems strange that 12 games into the season this is enforced.......and yes, I officiated a long time. Sounds like a coach contacted the commissioner about this. Lot of dynamics involved here. Too long to post

Wrong. The kids pick sizes that won’t fit. They’re only going to hurt themselves. Play dumb games win dumb prizes.

It was the umpire sending players off too.  At least 6 for Cooper, 2/3 Scott County.  Every skill player wants the smallest pants possible.  Borchers lit up the sideline after the first two players were sent off before kickoff started.

I know a couple guys that do officiate. If they’re legally equipped during pregame, why are they all of a sudden not during the game? I agree it has to be association wide or state wide from the first play of the first scrimmage game, and I’d probably just let a higher up know after the game instead of choosing now to do it.

Cooper winning like this is surprising but not at the same time. I just assumed Scott Co would be able to run easier.

Cooper has done a good job with the triple option.  Burned on the pass a couple times.  Some really good plays from Scott County to create separation in run game.

Defense has some pieces back. Not the same defense Highlands played week 5 or 6. Whatever.

Should have been done in pre game by official.

Should’ve been but why wasn’t it is the million dollar question. I agree if they were going to enforce it, it should’ve been done pregame. Unless the coaches just ignored the advise by the officials?
