Great Win for the players and staff. Coach Sims proved his coming of age with the upset. I have seen BBHS play other games this year, I will add that good playing on our side, plus what I think was the best officiated game I have seen with BB this year.

I forgot to mention that Pendleton County STILL has a home winning streak of 26 after beating Brossart. They haven't lost in Falmouth since December of 2003.

 

Brossart has came out flat against Mason County, Covington Scott and now Pendleton County. It seems as if Coach Code and his staff are not getting their players ready to play on time. All three were HUGE games and they ended up losing 2 out of 3. The seniors need to start stepping up.

 

 

I agree completely. Although a team with this many seniors shouldn't need their coach to get them ready to play, that's what senior leadership is all about.

Good job by the 'Cats tonight defending their turf!! If they play like that the remainder of the season, they'll pull some more upsets; and extend the streak further. PC shot well and Brossart didn't, and the Mustangs' "D" didn't get it done!! Congrats again to the 'Cats!!

Tough night for the Stangs in Falmouth.

 

Coach Sims gambled zone and hit the jackpot. Mustangs 9/39 from 3 point range. Cooper and Belcher nuetralize each other - Cooper 14 after having two at the half. Belcher 16, played a great all-around game.

 

The first three minutes of the second half were the key. PCo went on an 11 point run, opening up a 36-20 lead. PCo goes up 39-22 moments later and leads by 17, their longest of the night.

 

Brossart rallies in the fourth quarter,cuts it to 51-47 with 4:33 to go and it looks like Scott de'jevu all over again BUT PCo hit their free throws down the stretch and hold off the Stangs.

 

Yes, this is the sixth defeat in a row to the Cats and if their home win streak of 26 is going to be broken, someone else is going to have to do it.
