@ColonelMike, is it fair to say the Dragons have exceeded expectations so far? They appear to be a little further along than I thought they'd be.

Size doesn’t equal physicality. It’s the size of the fight in the dog not the size of the dog in the fight. Haven’t seen the Dragons back down.
Don’t know much about WC but they probably don’t back down much either.
Expecting a very good game Friday night!

South Oldham's starters held a solid SK team to one score in the first half of their scrimmage. I think Friday they do something similar hanging around for a half, then taper off with Woodford pulling away early in the second half.

DMC - Yes, I'd say so....the new coach was probably expected to pick up where Jamie Reed left off, since he was formerly on Jamie's staff, but the defense was a real question mark with little returning experience and a LOT of youth.

I think most expected the offense to pick up where it left off last year, but it has also been a pleasant surprise to the South faithful; it has been far more prolific than I think even the more optimistic projections.    The OL has been dominant, and the 1-2-3 punch of Hamilton-Acevedo-Greenwell has been difficult to stop.

Bottom-line, yes - the expectations are high in Crestwood every year because of last dozen years or so, but I think this team is exceeding what the locals were expecting.

Slight correction to the "on air" time.....we will be going on air about 7:15 pm instead of 7 pm.

You do a fantastic job. Now if you can pull off separate voices for play-by-play and color.... I would tune in just for that alone.

LOL!!   I'll dust off my best Mel Blanc imitation.....

Depends on what you're following....if you're following South Oldham football, you watch Pegasus.   I've been calling South Oldham games since the school opened in 1989.

D & D Productions, likewise, is the voice of the Woodford Yellowjackets.

Prepspin and Glicod go from school to school and do not represent either of the two teams, per se.

www.pegasussportsky.com coverage starts at 7:15

0 to 0 with Woodford driving.

Leland Taylor takes a jet sweep 45 to open the scoring.

This one was nearly tied up on a fullback dive, but the ball carrier stumbled in the open field.

SO knocking on the door anyway.

South Oldham looking pretty solid but after they scored a TD they got cute on the extra point.

Woodford 7 South Oldham 6
